Our stretch wool gabardine is a luxury and tightly woven wool blend fabric, featuring small diagonal ribs throughout. When someone says classic fabric, this is what they mean. Smooth, but with a springy hand, it falls perfectly in the finished garment and holds its shape without wrinkling too easily. This fabric is beautiful. It is nearly black but if you look closely you can see some blue. If you are looking for more of a blue color, then I would go with Notte. The fabric stretches well and is high quality. I had a dress with a cape made from this fabric and it is beautiful. My only wish is that New Tess had a matching stretch lining that wasn’t so expensive. Once I have the dress, I will post a picture on Instagram and tag New Tess.
