Below you will find answers to the questions we are most frequently asked by website users.

Registration / Login

To register and see our prices and availability click here.

Once on the registration/login page, you can easily login using your Facebook, Google or Linkedin social profile or you can insert your email and create a password in the registration form.

You will be sent a confirmation email to the email address you entered. To complete registration click on the link in the email to confirm registration.

Billing and shipping information will be required only when you make your first order.


If you are having trouble logging into your shop.newtess.com account, please check the following:

  • Make sure caps lock is off (passwords are case sensitive) and you are not inadvertently adding a black space before or after your password.
  • Make sure you registered to our website and not (only) to our newsletter.
  • If you registered to shop.newtess.com via Social Login, you need to click on the same Social button to login.
  • If you registered with an email and password, try resetting your password using our Password Reset form.
  • If you’re still having trouble, clear any automatically stored cookie for this domain (newtess.com and shop.newtess.com) using your browser settings.

If you registered for a new account at shop.newtess.com but did not receive a verification email from us within a few minutes, it is possible that any one of the following occurred:

  • Our confirmation email is still on the way to your mailbox, please wait a few minutes more.
  • The verification email was sent directly to your Spam Folder.
  • You may have mistyped your email address while signing up.

To resolve this issue please try the following:

  • Check your spam folder for any email that you may have received from newtess.it (in some cases, please check your filters or “Trash Folder” as well.)
  • If you do not find our email in the spam, try to register again, paying close attention to the correctness of the email address entered.
  • If you still do not receive the confirmation email, try registering with a different email address..

If this issue is not resolved after all these steps, please contact our Customer Support for further assistance.

You have the possibility of modifying your information at any time by clicking on My Account in the navigation bar at the top right.
When you connect to our site in the future you can log in without having to re-enter all your information.


Registering an account on Shop new tess is convenient:

  • you will not have to enter billing/shipping information with each of your purchases;
  • you will be able to browse current orders and repeat orders already placed in just a few clicks;
  • you will be able to edit your data and information (addresses, contacts) to keep them up to date;
  • you will be able to receive information about any promotions, offers, coupon codes (if you also subscribe to the newsletter);
  • you will be able to save fabrics in the wish list to take your time choosing or purchasing them later;
  • you can sign up for the waiting list to be notified as soon as a sold-out fabric becomes available again;

For faster registration/access you can use your favorite social profile, logging in securely, without having to create a new password.



Our Fabrics

You can request samples only of our plain colour fabrics in continuous supply.
Our plain fabrics are grouped in 12 Sample Sets and each Set include all colors available, except the selling out colors, that you can find in the SALES section.

You can request up to 3 free Sample Sets per order, paying only the shipping costs.

The shipping costs will be refunded by sending you a Free Delivery Coupon for your next order of our fabrics. The coupon can be used for any order over € 100,00, (€ 50,00 for Italy). Samples cannot be returned.

Remember that you must register first and that the Color Cards may be requested free of charge one time only. Don’t lose them!


If you have already purchased a fabric and want to purchase a new quantity, you can go to the page My Account and find a list of orders placed.

Clicking on the order code you can see order details and by selecting NEW ORDER you can easily reorder a new quantity of that fabric.

If the fabric is out of stock, you can join the waitlist to be emailed when the product becomes available.

Please note:

  • running out fabrics (jacquard, prints, laces, embroidery or velvet) will not be restocked.
  • some plain colors have low stocks and will not be restocked. For these colors, in the Fabric Details page you will find the label “On demand only” under the heading NEXT RESTOCK. You can click on the question mark next to the restock information and fill out the request form.

For continuous stock service colors (Available Colors), time or date for re-stocking can be found in the fabric details page.

If you are interested in a color that is not continuous stock service (On Demand Colors) please click on the question mark next to the restock information and fill out the request form.


According to the settings of your computer screen, fabric colors may appear different online. In general, however, there may always be variations in the color and structure of the product – unfortunately this is unavoidable and is not considered a defect.

If you would like to see our fabrics before purchase, you can request up to 3 free Sample Sets, paying only the shipping costs. Click here to go to the Sample Sets page. Remember that you must register first and that the Color Cards may be requested free of charge one time only.


Only if the length you have requested is available in one piece. If the pieces of that fabric are less than 35 meters, an advisory will appear on the fabric page that indicates the maximum length available as one piece and it will be possible to view the Details of pieces available.

Remember that different pieces may be from different dye lots and have slightly different colors. If you would like to be contacted before cutting, please indicate this in the order notes. Alternatively you can contact our Customer Support before you place your order.



Search & Browse

You can request samples only of our plain colour fabrics in continuous supply.
Our plain fabrics are grouped in 12 Sample Sets and each Set include all colors available, except the selling out colors, that you can find in the SALES section.

To find the fabric you are interested you can use the search filters present in the navigation bar to the right of the shop section. You can select the fabrics by Color (by clicking on one of the colors of the Palette colors), by Type, by Composition, by Quality, by Usage or by Pattern.
Beside each filter a number shows how many fabric variants are in the catalog for that filter.

You can also use the Search feature by clicking on the lens symbol in the top navigation bar and entering the article code that you are interested in or a keyword like “organza” or “bridal gowns”.

If you want to see just the fabrics in stock now you can use the filter Show only in stock fabrics.

To access the fabric page click on the image of the fabric of your choice. When viewing the fabric page you can see all the information related to that fabric and all the colors available.

To see the price and availability of stock you need to register or login here.


It means that you want to purchase a length of fabric that is longer than what is available in one piece. The fabric that you requested will be sent in more than one piece and could have slight variations in color. On the Fabric Detail page you can see the list of pieces available.

If you would like to be contacted before cutting, please indicate this in the order notes. Alternatively you can contact our Customer Support before you place your order.

My Order

Yes. The merchandise is always sent with an accompanying invoice. After entering the fabrics you want to purchase in your cart, click on the PROCEED TO CHECKOUT button.

In the window that appears, enter your billing country and the language you’d like to use to communicate with us. Then select Customer Type “Company” and fill in the required fields.

If you have a correct EU VAT IDs, VAT taxes will be deducted from the order total.

Please select your Country before filling in your VAT ID. The VAT ID country code will be automatically set, please do not enter it again.

NOTE: We can only accept VIES compliant EU VAT IDs (11 characters).


Yes. After entering fabrics you want to purchase in your cart, click on the PROCEED TO CHECKOUT button.

In the window that appears, enter your billing country and the language you’d like to use to communicate with us. Then select Customer Type “Private” and fill in the required fields.


Yes. Only registered/logged in users can see prices of fabrics and place an order online.

If you have a coupon (promotion code) or store credit you can use them to apply a discount to your order.

On the Shopping Cart page (shopping bag icon in the menu bar at the top), enter the code in the field below the list of ordered products and click on “APPLY”: If the code is correct, you will receive a confirmation message and you will see the discount applied or shipping costs eliminated in the order summary “Cart Totals”, on the right.


You can pay with a credit card or PayPal account with an SSL SECURE transaction and information communicated solely to the bank.

Alternatively, for customers in the European Union or for customers Extra UE spending more than 500 euros, it is possible to pay by bank transfer. In this case merchandise will be shipped within 2 business days of receipt of the transfer. If we do not receive payment within 10 days, the order will be automatically cancelled.

It’s possible to order anytime from our website. Purchasing our fabric is easy and fast. You just have to register since only registered users can see prices and place orders. To register or login with a social account, click here.

After logging in, go to the shop section to start your shopping experience.

To view the fabric page from the fabric catalogue click on the fabric of your choice. When viewing the fabric page you can see all the information related to that fabric and all the colors available. To order a fabric insert the length you want and click on the PLACE IN CART button and the fabric will be added to your shopping cart. In the top menu bar, you will see a number next to the shopping cart indicating how many items are in your cart.

When you’ve placed all the fabrics you wish to purchase in your shopping cart, just click on the shopping bag icon on the top right to view your order with shipping costs and any taxes. If you have a promotional code you can enter it, otherwise click PLACE ORDER.

You’ll see a window where you can enter information for billing and shipping merchandise and complete the order.

Please note that VAT taxes will be deducted only in the checkout page after filling out the billing form.

In the checkout page, enter your billing country and the language you’d like to use to communicate with us. Then select Customer Type “Company” and fill in the required fields.

It means that your order has been received and is being processed. You will receive another email when the order has been processed and the merchandise has shipped.
If you need more information please contact our Customer Support.


Once you place your order you will receive an email at the email address provided saying that your order is being processed.
When the merchandise is shipped another email will be sent with the information of the shipping company.


The confirmation email could be in the spam folder, check there.
The email indicating your order is being processed should arrive within an hour of placing your order. If you do not receive any confirmation email after placing your order, check the order status in the My Account area of the website shop.newtess.com.

If you wish to unsubscribe from our newsletter, you can do so by simply clicking on unsubscribe found in every email that we send.



Shipping & Delivery

Yes. In the Order Confirmation email you’ll find the link to track the status of your delivery on the website of the courier. You can access the status of your delivery from shop.newtess.com by clicking on My Account, in the navigation bar at the top right.


The choice of packaging types for shipping and how the order is packed (folded, rolled, etc.) will be made at our sole discretion.


In the Order Confirmation email you will be notified of the shipping date.
Shipping date is 2 business days from order date if payment is made by credit card or PayPal. If payment is made by bank transfer, the shipping date is 2 business days after receipt of transfer.



Returns & Replacements

new tess fully applies European and relative national regulations for returns and exchanges. Please read our Returns Policy for details on the procedure.

NOTE: If you have a PayPal account, you can get your return shipping costs refunded. Click here to find out how. The service is free and valid also on international shopping.


Fabrics are carefully inspected before shipping from the warehouse, but sometimes it can happen that some manufacturing imperfection escapes checking; In case of faultiness, the fabric will be replaced in accordance with the terms detailed in our claim and returning paragraph, as required by the European Directive 2011/83/UE, implemented in Italy with Legislative Decree 21 of 21 February 2014.

To review products you need to be registered on our e-commerce site and have purchased the product you want to review.

You can find products that you have purchased in the My Account section. Clicking on the product code you can access the page where you can easily and quickly leave a review using the form located at the bottom of the Fabric page.
