Spring / Summer 2022 Colour Trends: Red Poinciana

Red has confirmed itself as a leading color for Spring Summer 2022:
Intense, warm and decisive, it has been elected by designers as the trend of the season.
From the simple touch of red given by inserts and accessories to the total look, the important thing is to wear something red!

The shade of red identified by Pantone is Poinciana: “a warm and powerful red that pushes on dramatic tones“.

The red poinciana in the Ready-to-Wear collections Spring / Summer 2022

In the spring/summer 2022 collection, Marques' Almeida used red for a one-shoulder cape to be worn in combination with an asymmetrical cut dress in the shade of pink. The result? A gritty, casual and bold look.

Lacoste took advantage of the poincian red shade to create sporty, no-frills and vibrant looks.

At Balmain's we appreciated many total red outfits with wrapped and screwed silhouettes including a midi dress enriched with bands and weaves.

The sensuality of red was paid homage by Giambattista Valli, whose spring/summer 2022 collection featured a romantic red suit with lace, consisting of a top and skirt.

Sacai presented red on many garments of its collection. Distinctive features of the Japanese designer are the utilty elements such as drawstrings, zippers, lapels, slits, dynamic cuts, belts, pockets and overlays.
