Spring / Summer 2022 Colour Trends: Green

Green trend also for next year's hot season: green is the must have color of the spring / summer 2022 season and is synonymous with balance and hope.

The shades of green identified by Pantone for spring / summer 2022 are:

  • Basil evokes sweet and salty tastes at the same time, it is a bittersweet hue that exudes health and well-being.
  • Fresh Sprout is a sharp, acidic hue characterized by a jaw-dropping appearance.
  • Fair Green is a restful and refreshing green.

Green in the Ready-to-Wear Collections Spring / Summer 2022

Bottega Veneta in its spring/summer 2022 collection used the shade of fragile green sprout for a midi dress paired with orange sneakers and clutch bag.

Alessandra Rich chose the basic nuance as the background for a bucolic dress with puffed sleeves, side buttons and floral design.

Altuzarra opened the Spring/Summer 2022 show with a green suit, which played with the tie-dye effect, creating a soft combination of dark green, fair green and white.

Givenchy used the light green “fair” shade for an outfit consisting of a miniskirt and a cardigan with a zipper and wide collar, to be worn with black high boots.

Comme des Garçons proposed a black dress with a corolla-shaped silhouette with maxi prints of acid green bows (fragile sprout).
