The Spring 2020 runways were bursting with head-to-toe blanc looks—varying in textures and shades from striking Brilliant White to understated Blanc de Blanc, a white that has just a bit of creaminess to it.
At Loewe the first look out was a white lace tunic with a ruff collar over matching trousers and the last one a white satin jumpsuit with floral applications, while on the Louis Vuitton runway we saw both Blanc de Blanc and Brilliant White declined on trousers, pleated dresses and skirts, mini skirts and two final dresses with wrapped elements at the skirt and voluminous sleeves.
Valentino dedicated the whole opening section of the show to white, featuring 12 outfits that worked on the idea of the white shirt, but treating it with a couture sensibility.
At Theory the opening look was a Blanc de Blanc sharp jacket with a ribbed-knit dress over fluid trousers.
White suits are one of the spring / summer 2020 runway trends and designers showed many gorgeous creations: simple and elegant white suits with impeccable tailoring from Jonathan Simkhai, elegant lace set from Alexander McQueen, or with a touch of black on the Tory Burch and Deveaux runways, '80s prep styled suit at Tory Burch, or posh at Victoria Beckham.
